Abstract
In commenting the former paper, the author wants to emphasise certain implicit questions that underlie the enormous problems set out by Luis de Sebastián. He proposes three in the form of tasks set to help us overcome the sensation of helplessness: to understand globalisation (as a “presence of the whole world in our lives”) in its entirety, to live as believers the strain of being at the same time citizens and foreigners in this world, and to back solidarity as the key to a new system of values.
