Abstract
This first text explains the structure and content of this edition, which is relatively novel, as it is almost entirely dedicated to reflecting the content of the Social Conference held by the Spanish and Portuguese Society of Jesus in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) between 7 and 10 December, 2000. Details of the context of the Conference are given, together with a description of how it was run, which leads to a richer understanding of the texts themselves.
