Immigration and Human Rights
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this lecture, given at the Eurojess Conference held in Berlin from 27 August to 2 September 2001, the author first of all presents the reasons why the hypothesis of Human Rights should be considered as a root foundation of the very right to emigrate, and secondly, he goes on to set out the conceptual and practical difficulties this foundation causes. The author thinks that rather than talking of a human right to migrate, it should be considered from the sole demands of economic globalisation, in order to consider its limitations as well.
