University and Globalisation: Yes, but...

Abstract
This text is the Spanish version of the opening talk of a conference on Globalisation held from 7th to 10th November 2002 at Santa Clara University of the Society of Jesus (California, USA). The author, who has been until very recently the Secretary of the Social Apostolate of the Society of Jesus, is at present coordinating the net of African Jesuits working against AIDS. This paper analyses the pros and cons of globalisation from a critical point of view and having as a reference the interests of the poorest; in the context of intervention, the author also exposes explicitly the Christian attitude to globalisation.
