Living in a consumer society
Main Article Content
Abstract
Consumption in our world, specially in developed countries, is not only a set of punctual acts but a vital dynamics. This demands deep thoughts in order to investigate whether the acquisition of goods has not been perverted and converted into an end instead of a means. That might be the reason why the citizen feels threatened by consumption itself. And there are many legal initiatives organised for consumer protection. However, a real consumer protection should adopt an unequivocally proactive approach and be directed towards consumer information and education.
