Abstract
El quinto Foro Social Mundial (FSM) ha mostrado una vez más su fuerza y vigor. Este año nos hemos reunido casi 100.000 personas de más de 100 países, representando a 5.000 organizaciones y movimientos de la sociedad civil. La atención de los medios de comunicación ha sido muy grande: había 5.500 periodistas acreditados. Siguiendo el modelo instaurado por los indios el año pasado, el Foro ha salido del recinto universitario de Porto Alegre y se ha desarrollado en un espacio abierto a lo largo de 4 km junto al río Guaiba.
