Abstract
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the murder of Monsignor Romero in San Salvador, this text from Jon Sobrino is a plea –in a markedly prophetic tone– to recover what is essential to the Bishop martyr’s message: to recuperate the option in favour of the poor in a context still lacking the changes he defended, remaining firm in hope, as “neither Monsignor nor Jesus were mistaken”.
