Abstract
Desde 2002 en Revista de Fomento Social hemos publicado, con alguna interrupción, los mensajes dirigidos por el Papa para la Jornada mundial de la Paz de 1 de enero o el tradicional discurso al cuerpo diplomático acreditado ante la Santa Sede, que el Papa tiene en los primeros días de enero, como hicimos con el de 2004. Es este discurso un texto muy pensado y tradicionalmente muy valorado por cuanto supone un repaso de las grandes cuestiones y algunos problemas más urgentes de la situación política internacional. En el de 7 de enero de 2008 además se abordan algunas de las claves del proyecto cultural de Benedicto XVI, que aporta una perspectiva complementaria al texto.
