A review on the Central American Integratio: dynamic, interests and actors

Abstract
Central American integration is the Latin American process of integration that shows greater dynamism although its operating and development are not free of a certain degree of confusion, being still in doubt of the extent countries are willing to reach. In the last years, significant advances have taken place in the issue of institutional reform, in the establishment of customs union and in the commercial negotiations with third parties (CAFTA with USA and Association Agreement with the EU). Despite questions generated by their expansion and the disorder of their processes, the Central American Integration System is a living process that offers solutions to region development and in which a great number of its main actors participate actively.
