The Spanish economy: crisis and future

Abstract
This text about the lecture given by Professor Delgado in the opening ceremony held in ETEA for the academic year 2010–11 essentially deals with three aspects of Spanish economy today. It first goes into the background of the situation to explain the most important features of the Spanish economy before the current period of crisis and, secondly, the impact that the international crisis has had. Then, under the heading of “The current situation,” he takes us on a journey through the consequences of the international financial and economic crisis on the Spanish economy. Finally, the third paragraph of the text is devoted to indicating the main challenges facing the Spanish economy and the actions that can be taken to overcome the current situation.
