Universality of democracy and person structure.
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this era of the masses, the person needs to feel as such within democracy. We have to contemplate the universality of democracy, as we do with a landscape, from a particular place. In this case, we do so from the European perspective. The old continent has to offer a renewed spirit to the world. The new scenario emerged after the “cold war” requires a project to walk towards peace, including religious peace, in which Catholicism should be a practical example of the values of the Gospel. In this project the centrality of the person has a central role; it is expression of universality and at the same time, historical realization of human rights that reflects its neediness. Democracy takes character because of these two personal aspects, universal and historic, expression of its fragility and representation of the time.
