World political order: two scenarios and some proposals

Abstract

The economic and financial crisis that we are going through and the wider context of globalization develops in which have been current reflection on the world political order and the urgency to realize some replies to a topic that is not new. This urgency is that us has moved to make it our reflection on this Publisher object. We only provide “some proposals”, as we suggest in the chosen title. And so we wanted to focus our attention on two historical scenarios. The second of them, obviously, is the current. Now as we are convinced that history is always lit, we wanted to look at another scenario in which there were substantial steps towards the construction of this world political order: we refer to the creation of the United Nations in the context of the 2th world war and after the failure of other initiatives that preceded it. Today this order born more than half a century ago is insufficient: there are elements in it which are indispensable for mankind and is not more remember when the same order in which they are inserted are so questioned. On the other hand −y given orientation that inspires our review− have believed appropriate to pay particular attention to the contributions of Christian social thought in those same two “escenarios” to which we have referred.
