On the necessity of the humanities in academic training

Abstract

This article aims to present an approach to the current situation of Humanities in academia, not understanding them only as own degrees but especially as teaching contents present in other subjects. From this point we analyze the reasons of their alarming and progressive disappearance. The intention here is to provide some basic suggestions which help to show the urgent need in appreciate and include Humanities in higher education formation.
