Abstract

The capitalist system has not only become the prevailing economic and social order but also has been very significant influence on the values and behavior in today's society, relegating ethical values to a discreet background, positioning parameters economic and universal measure. It is clear that social problems can’t be solved only through the application of economic logic, but that economic activity must be directed towards the pursuit of the common good. It is necessary therefore that the company includes among its pillars Christian values fostering a more humanistic vision, because indeed the center of the company must be the person and the organization must be treated with dignity by giving initiative and promoting the integral development of the person. The document Gaudium et spes, through its principles, most current, and more necessary than ever, shows us what are the keys to this new way of doing business.
