Vocation and mission in Populorum Progressio a lifestyle become friendship
Main Article Content
Abstract
In the s. XXI, the encyclical Populorum Progressio keeps a surprising topicality and calls us in dealing with the challenges that we have raised. There is a call to the commitment of the laity to transform the world that seems very suggestive. In this paper we have emphasized in Populorum Progressio spirituality, since it can help us as Christians to live our faith experience translated into a way of life, which is essential to be able to transform society and the world in which we live in a sense of greater justice. His proposal to live the friendship both in interpersonal relations and in relations between peoples seems attractive. Paul VI offers a true friendship and spirituality as essential, universal brotherhood in a world disengaged as it is today. The paper concludes with an allusion to Ignatian Spirituality, especially suitable for living a lay spirituality in secularized contexts such as ours; it is a spirituality of Friends in the Lord that helps to build with others the Kingdom of God on the inside of each other and at the social level.
