Christian solidarity ethical model proposed by the pontifical post-conciliar magisterium
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article presents solidarity as a paradigm in which to situate Christian ethics grounded on thestatements of the Pontifical Magisterium from the last fifty years. With this argument as basis, the different ways to establish and reveal solidarity as an ethical concept are studied and analysed. Therefore, it is conceived as a value, duty, virtue and moral principle. As a result, it is from this network of concepts, and based on theological virtues, that the cannon of solidarity is structured and developed, and thus, Popes offer their proposal of social transformation in line with the announcement of the Evangelical Good News. From this perspective, Pontiffs urge, in their call to conversion, to achieve a reconciled coexistence and peace for mankind, so that anyone can live with dignity in any part of the Earth.
