An European perspective of the agreements of the 21st Conference on climate change (Paris, COP21)

Abstract
This paper points out the strengths and weaknesses of Climate Change Agreement (Paris, November 30 to December 11, and its essential guiding role in promoting social justice. The Paris Agreement also constitutes a great opportunity for job creation and promotes the mobilisation of civil society, business or cities as main players in the fight against climate change. All this from a European perspective because after the Paris summit, the European Union should decide if it aims to maintain its leadership position in the fight against climate change which implies ambitious targets in the Climate and Energy package 2030, and thus being an international reference for an adequate energy transition towards a low-carbon economy.
