The Gospel of the Holy Spirit

Abstract

The affirmation of the unity of Luke's Gospel and the Acts of the Apostles has been a very significant step. This unity is based on the fact that both writings have the same style, the same argument, and the same theology. From this point, studies on “Lucan theology” have been developed, based fundamentally on the analysis of the evangelist's numerous allusions to the action of the Spirit on the nascent Church. This constant form of expression in the narrative of Luke-Acts confirms that Lucan theology is the result of the Church's conviction of the presence of the Holy Spirit among Christians, despite their limitations and poverty. The article analyzes a large number of passages from Luke-Acts in an attempt to clarify this Lucan theology about the Holy Spirit and discover its peculiarities.
