The Jewish religion today

Abstract

Judaism is a complex phenomenon that encompasses various facets, including historical, cultural, sociological, religious, and political aspects. Today, many Jews dislike the term “religion” being applied to their religious practices, especially by Christians, as there is a danger of projecting the structural frameworks of Christianity onto religious Judaism. Jews often describe Judaism as “a way of life” rather than a religion. The author analyzes these ways of life in the different Jewish societies around the world and their implications for religious conception in general, in their interpretation of Revelation, the Torah, and the education of young people.
