Abstract
In Christianity, the Blessed Virgin Mary has traditionally been considered a unique and singular human being, the model of the authentic Christian. She has also been recognized as having important prerogatives, such as her divine maternity, her immaculate conception, and her perpetual virginity. Moroever, in the liturgy, certain passages referring to divine Wisdom have been applied to her. However, despite the fact that this application has been made by way of accommodation, the liturgy establishes a connection between them, and little theological depth has been given to this correlation. This article seeks to take a step in that direction.
