All Reality is relationship: From San Agustin and San Buenaventura to Edgard Morin and Raimon Panikkar
Main Article Content
Abstract
The perspective that all Reality is relationship is a constant of the perennis philosophia, from ancient times to today. Particularly in great thinkers as S. Agustine and S. Bonaventure, Raimon Panikkar and Edgard Morin.
In S. Augustine, S. Bonaventure and the same Sto. Thomas the creation is an open book that speaks to us of God; this means for a Christian to enter into communion with it in order to be in communion with God, who is relationship. Deus est relatio (St. Thomas), we and the whole cosmos are relationship. Panikkar has elaborated his thought from the idea that everything is relationship: the cosmoteandric perspective. Quantum physics manifests the intrinsic relationality of all Reality, from the most elementary (quantum) to humans. This is the perspective of Edgar Morin’s complex thinking.
In this work of puts in relation all these thinkers.
