Encounters with God Witness, vocation, signs of hope
Main Article Content
Abstract
We often enter into discussions about what differentiates lay people, priests and religious, discussions that are sometimes unfocused because they start from what is different. The author of this article, professor of Theology at the Ibero-American University of Mexico, proposes a different approach to the subject: starting from what is common to all baptised people, that is, starting from the vocation of every believer, what is basic and fundamental for everyone. Only from there will it be possible to understand what is specific (not "different") about the priesthood and religious life. Keeping in mind that all of us in the Church are called to love and service, not to power and honour.
