From the demystification of the Bible to the reinterpretation of dogmas
Main Article Content
Abstract
Estrada proposes to make many dogmatic affirmations more flexible, revise and reformulate them in the light of the religious context that is present at the beginning of the third millennium. Catholicism is taking place in a context of globalisation that demands inculturation. There is a gap between theology, the official Magisterium and the reception of the community on various doctrinal and practical points. There is also ecumenism, unbelief and practical atheism. Nor are the difficulties for a re-evangelisation of the old Christianities small, nor is the challenge of religious pluralism minimal. Channels of dialogue and new attitudes are therefore needed.
