Christianity and culture in the history of Granada
Main Article Content
Abstract
Over almost twenty centuries, the dioceses of Granada have generated an abundant cultural heritage: works by architects, artists, intellectuals, musicians, anonymous creations from the soul of the people, and even the set of values that give meaning to life. It includes not only material works, but also everything that expresses the creativity of this people, their rites, beliefs, places of worship, folklore, archives, libraries and historical, artistic and literary monuments, etc. The different elements that make up the Christian cultural heritage of Granada are the best documents - manuscripts, printed, audio and visual - that show the significance of the Church and its culture in the history of Granada. This article gives a complete outline of all this and thus offers a framework in which to situate the fiftieth anniversary of Projection more conveniently.
