Abstract
Nobody doubts the eloquence and deep learning of Origenes. We hear that he disposed of all the secular books of his library while he served all the writings related with the Bible. On the other hand we know he made long journeys to inform about Christianity. In the final track of his life while in Caesarea he wrote his book of homilies. He travelled, preached and wrote commentaries to almost the whole Bible always thinking of the spiritual good of everyone. Going further than the literal sense he tried to offer the most substantial: what he found in the “rock of the well” or in the “top of the mountain”.
