Abstract

Winds are blowing strongly against the N.G.O.s. We are witnessing a process of taming solidarity, and the tamer is no other but the market. The organized civil society is slowly weakening. The movements of resistance to global capitalism are in the target and those who are not fallen yet, have their days numbered. This article departs from a Breve recorrido histórico, orígenes, pasado y presente de las ONG (Short history: origin, past and present of the NOGs) examining with detail the present moment. The author later analyzes the process through which solidarity is converted to the market, and he finishes up looking for exits that necessarily go through the commitment with the victims.
