Note Meaning of Benedict XVI's statement on contraceptives

Abstract
The recent publication of the Pope's latest book, in his dialogue with a journalist, on different issues related to the Church, has aroused enormous interest. I assume that the topic of contraceptives is by no means the most important one in this interview, but there is no doubt that the main discussions have focused on it. Has the Church's doctrine changed? Has the traditional position been reaffirmed once again?
