Achievements of Christianity on the stage of a new evangelisation
Main Article Content
Abstract
What realizations of the Christian presence is it possible to perceive in our surroundings? Christianity does not exist in abstract, and it is made of historic and concrete actualizations. Hence that, in the scene of the new evangelization, to which purpose the new Synod of Bishops has been summoned, it may be necessary to offer a balance of the mentioned realizations. In fact, in the Lineamenta for the preparation of the Synod, there is talk about the possibility of a “frustrated proclamation” of the faith. Thus, the present article pays attention to two fundamental moments. In the first instance, we analyse some actual realizations of Christianity which we consider unsuccessful; concretely three of them, which we have called “ethics”, “aesthetics” and “dietetics” Christianity. In the second moment we offer the un-renounceable aspects which could make of the Christian thing a successful modulation of itself. All that to conclude with a definition of “evangelization”, which may answer to the very essence of Christianity.
