Abstract

Alasdair MacIntyre wrote a provocative book in 1981 called After Virtue. This book promotes a comeback of the virtues topic to moral philosophy and theology. This paper will research on an essential question: What kind of virtues appear in the book? Which virtues hope MacIntyre for our world? Local or global virtues? Intellectual or moral virtues? Integrative or alternative virtues?
