Abstract

The Letter to Philemon represents an excellent example of how far Paul used his rhetorical skills to exercise his ministry of reconciliation received from God in Christ. This article reads the Letter to Philemon from the perspective of classical rhetoric, and seeks to unveil the rhetorical resources used by Paul and their function or wanted effect in his addressees: the Reconciliation between Philemon and Onesimus, his slave.
