Abstract
The Bible has been present in the crystallizing of Colombia´s culture; its stories and some of its phrases have been incorporated into the language of its people in a natural way. Thus, it is not rare that we may find in CAS [for Cien Años de Soledad] an amount of references to the same. The authoress gathers and explains them as belonging, -the greatest part of them-, to the Pentateuch, probably because likewise CAS, it reflects about the origin and foundation of a people
