Abstract
The Catholic social thought tradition on political activity has developed in dialogue with the evolution of modern liberal democracies. In spite of the evolution of its consideration of democracy, in this tradition we can find several points that have remained quite stable throughout the years. These points represent the more characteristic traits of the tradition.
