Treatise “De Ecclesia” by Francisco Suárez

Abstract
The theological production of Francisco Suarez, without being well known, is not negligible. Suarez wrote theological treatises on the most diverse subjects. Which was the idea of Church that Suarez had? This is found in the lessons he adressed in Rome between the years 1583 to 1585. Suarez deals in the treatise “De Ecclesia” with the themes concerning the Church which were being discussed since the Protestant Reformation, and they are a systematic presentation of Suarez’s ecclesiological view.
