Abstract

The present article seeks to investigate the practical understanding of the ecclesiality of faith in the political theology of Johann Baptist Metz. As a fundamental thesis of this study it is argued that the Christian faith, by its very nature, constitutes an experience with influence in the world and in history. To announce and to think to the God of Jesus Christ, expresses itself through a strong relation with the public space surpassing thus the excessive privatization of the Christianity provoked by the movements of the Enlightenment and the ideological critique of Marxism.
