Genetic modification. Treatment of diseases or improvement of the human species?

Abstract
The birth of two twin sisters genetically modified through the CRISPR-Cas technic has originated a great world discussion to be considered that a respected barrier in the biotechnological research has been crossed. In this article are presented the main biotechnological advances as weel as some legal and ethic reflexions on the genetic edition. Its use on germinal cells is illegal on almost all the world. However, the transhumanism proposes the use of this and another similar technics to get the ‘human enhancement’ and not only the treatment of the genetic diseases. In these conditions, it is entirely necessary a responsible regulation of the present and future biotechnologies at a political and international level.
