The Holy Shroud, the fifth gospel?
Main Article Content
Abstract
Worshiped by some, repudiated by others, the Turin shroud has an unquestionable appeal for anyone who intends to approach what is considered one of the most important relics of Christendom. The canvas in which the body of Christ was allegedly wrapped is permanently in question. In this article, it is tried to present the characteristics of the “man of the sheet” in comparison with the events narrated in the canonical gospels. To complete this comparison, the data from the investigations that have worked in the biological and scientific fields are provided, far from the references of faith.
