Abstract

In this work we will see how mystical speculation about being implies transcending the categories ofmetaphysics, preserving the character of  im-presence and concealment of being, its ineffable mystery. We will thus find in negative theology a refuge from the ontifying tendency of the metaphysics of presence. We will also show how Eckhart's mysticism and Heidegger's thought maintain a profound analogy that points to an overcoming of the theistic, moral and personal God in favor of a suprapersonal and naked experience of being in the depths of the soul.
