1. The editorial line of the journal

Currently, Proyección is an open-access, peer-reviewed, quarterly interdisciplinary journal of scholarship and research published by the School of Theology at Loyola University. The journal publishes studies in theology and related areas (philosophy, history, art history, anthropology, etc.).

2. Who is the journal aimed at?

The target audience of the Journal is composed of researchers, students and professionals in the area of Theology and related subjects such as Philosophy, among others.

3. The content of the issues

The different issues usually have the following content:

Four articles classified in studies.
Bibliographic Bulletin.

4. Section policy

Articles: The collaboration should have an average length between 8500- 10000 words, including critical apparatus, single spaced and in Garamond 12pt font. The first page of the articles or notes should include: a) Title of the article in Spanish and its English version. b) Name, surname(s) and institutional affiliation of the author(s), together with ORCID and/or ResearchID. c) Home address, telephone and e-mail. d) Date of completion of the work. e) An abstract of up to 100 words, written in Spanish and English, containing the essential aspects and results of the work, as well as a list of keywords in both languages, in a number not exceeding five.

Bibliographic Bulletin (Reviews): In bibliographic reviews, scholarly and original bibliographic reviews on relevant publications in the following areas are admitted: Bible and theology; Ethics and morals; Church; Spirituality; Religious life; Pastoral care; Psychology and pedagogy; Philosophy; Church history; General history; Social sciences; Miscellaneous. The length of the Reviews should be between 200 and 400 words, and the text should comply with the style requirements indicated in the norms for authors.

5. Open Access Policy

The journal Fomento Social is available in open access in order to disseminate, promote and contribute to the exchange of knowledge.

There is no charge for submitting articles. Nor for editing or publishing them in open access.

6. Self-Archiving and Digital Preservation Permissions

The journal Proyección. Teología y Mundo Actual authorizes authors to publish their work on the Internet (personal web pages or institutional repositories) always after publication (in no case before). Following the objectives of our journal in relation to Open Access, we want to promote the visibility of the articles published in it through the reading and citation of the article, and thus achieve a greater and faster dissemination of the published work.

The journal is kept in the repository of Loyola University Brújula.

7. Interoperability Protocol

The journal Proyección. Teología y Mundo Actual offers a metadata harvesting service to other research dissemination platforms through the OAI-PMH protocol at the following URL. https://revistas.uloyola.es/ptma/oai.

8. Anti-Plagiarism Policy and Peer Review Process

The journal uses the Turnitin anti-plagiarism tool. Before starting the peer review process, the document will go through this tool.

The articles are analyzed by reviewers external to the publishing entity, anonymously, issuing a judgment based on criteria of relevance, originality, clarity and pertinence of the work presented.

The scientific and academic quality of all articles will be evaluated by two anonymous reviewers (peer review, double-blind).

9. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The Editor is responsible for ensuring that the editing, authoring and peer review processes leading to publication incorporate good practice and ethical, accountable and transparent behaviour by all parties involved. This includes the use of AI during the editing process.

The editing and authoring processes of Proyección will never rely on AI, the use of which will be restricted to being a support tool to make these processes faster or more efficient. The Editor will ensure that authors, peer reviewers and Editorial Board members are adequately informed about their use of AI. Reviewers may not resort to the use of AI to evaluate manuscripts (Vid. infra).

Warning: in none of the editing, authoring and peer review processes, manuscripts received for evaluation may be uploaded (in whole or in part) into an AI application, as their content could potentially become part of the training data. Confidential information would be shared and the authors' intellectual property rights would be infringed.

10. Code of Ethics

The editorial team of the Revista Proyección. Teología y Mundo Actual is committed to the scientific community to guarantee the ethics and quality of the articles published.

The journal Proyección accepts the submission of articles to the studies section.

Submitting an article to the journal implies: Authors must guarantee that the articles and associated materials are original and do not infringe copyright. They have not been previously published in paper or digital format. The original has not been and will not be sent to another journal while it is being reviewed by Proyección.

Articles are evaluated by anonymous external peers with criteria based exclusively on the relevance, originality, clarity and pertinence of the work presented.

The confidentiality of the evaluation process and the anonymity of the evaluators and authors, the evaluated content, the reasoned report issued by the evaluators is guaranteed at all times.

Likewise, confidentiality will be maintained in the event of possible complaints, claims or clarifications that an author may wish to make to the editorial team or to the evaluators.

Our journal, Proyección. Teología y Mundo Actual, follows the Code of Conduct for Publications proposed by the Committee on Publication Ethics -COPE- (https://publicationethics.org/).

11. Gender Policies

Declaration of good practices in gender equality.

Proyección. Teología y Mundo Actual recommends the use of effective scientific language that takes gender perspective into account. Manuscripts should be written in an inclusive and non-sexist manner, with precision and without duplication (the continued use of formulas such as “los/las” is not permitted). It is recommended to follow the current rules of the Royal Spanish Academy.

The journal publishes the full names of all authors, contributors, and reviewers in order to identify their gender.

Proyección. Teología y Mundo Actual also promotes the presence of women on its Editorial Board and Scientific Committee, as well as among its reviewers, with the intention of covering at least 40%.
